About me:

I am an environment loving, inquisitive little ceramicist, ready to guide you along your pottery journey with encouragement and excitement.

I am loving teaching ceramics to a vast community of clay obsessed individuals in Gurrumbilbarra. From beginners to more experienced potters, my classes cater to all skill levels. Every month I offer an optional focus technique to learn, whilst also offering support for people creating personal projects. We explore an array of forms on the pottery wheel, firing styles, and hand building techniques.

Classes

Saturday 2.00pm – 5.00pm

About me:

I am a pottery artist and teacher. I enjoy all aspects of pottery creation, from recycling clay, to throwing, turning, decorating, glazing and firing.  I especially look forward to opening the kiln after a firing to see the finished products.

I specialise in functional ware, including mugs, tumblers, bowls, platters, lidded vessels, mosquito coil holders, tagines, and casserole dishes.  I also enjoy producing sculptural pieces.  I sell my pottery locally.

In my class the emphasis is on having FUN while learning a new creative skill.

Louise

Classes

Saturday 9.00am – 12.00pm

About me:

I have accumulated many skills as a hobbyist potter from hand building, throwing, firing and glazing during the last 35 years.

I love exploring all the techniques clay can offer and particularly enjoy the fact that there is always more to learn.

My ideas for the class are to teach beginners throwing and hand building and as the students become more experienced I would like to mentor their creative ideas. I am particularly keen to strengthen the students' skills in the glazing field, loading kilns and firing. I will also be demonstrating a different surface decoration technique every term.
