Each year we run a range of events at our studio. This includes our two markets in May and December every year. Our Mother's Day and Christmas Markets are incredibly popular events. They draw a huge crowd of locals who love and enjoy pottery. Our 2025 Christmas Market was the biggest and most successful to date!! We are already creating pottery for our Christmas Market in December 2026!
We also have some wonderful workshops by our local teachers in which where they share their skills with members.
Our studio proudly welcomes and hosts visiting potters who run workshops or master classes for our community. If you are a potter who wish to connect with Townsville potters and share your skills please contact us!

Introduction to Wheel Throwing
Our introduction to wheel throwing workshops have been a success and we are happy to offer a few more. This is a two-day workshop guiding you through the essentials of throwing on the wheel on the first night followed by a trimming session.
You will learn essential techniques including clay preparation, centering, opening, pulling walls, removing a vessel from the wheel and trimming.
Other topics covered include signing your work, slop buckets, how best to clean your wheel, firing process, glaze choices and choosing your best 2 pieces for firing and glazing.
What to bring: Apron or wear comfortable old clothes, old towel, water bottle, short or trimmed nails.

meet the potters market

You are warmly invited to join us at our new incredible market, Meet the Potters Market. Held under the stars at the gardens of our studio this September. Meet the Potters Market is designed to showcase the unique skills of our talented potters. Each potter will have their individual stalls filled with their pottery creations. Not only can you stock up on pottery from your favourite potter but you can chat to them and learn all about their pottery journey!
